The application documents will vary depending on each country and the circumstances of the applicant or sponsor.

1. Application documents

Documents prepared by the applicant

  1. Application for admission (form prescribed by our school)
  2. Resume (form prescribed by our school)
  3. Pledge (form prescribed by our school)
  4. Health examination certificate (original)
  5. Graduation certificate or diploma (original) of the final school
  6. Documents certifying Japanese language learning history (certificates of passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 or higher) (original)
  7. A copy of your passport (only the page with the photo, if you have been to Japan in the past, also the immigration record part)
  8. 8 photos (4 cm x 3 cm) (white background, taken within the last 3 months)
  9. Certificate of employment (If the applicant is a member of society, submit the certificate of employment at the place of employment)

* Please be sure to add a Japanese translation to (2 “Reason for attending school”), (5), (6), and (10).

Documents submitted by the expense supporter

A) When the expense supporter lives overseas
  1. Expense support form (form prescribed by our school) (written by the expense supporter)
  2. Identity Guarantee (form prescribed by our school) (Expenses (Keihi) Supporter (Shibensha) Handwritten (Jikihitsu))
  3. Certificate of deposit balance of expense supporter (original)
  4. A copy of the passbook and materials that clarify the circumstances that led to the formation of funds (passbook details)
  5. Certificate of employment of expense supporter (original) (in the case of company management or officers, a business permit or a copy of the corporate register, etc.)
  6. Documents issued by a public institution that can confirm the identity of the expense supporter (identification card, passport, etc.)
  7. Proof of income and tax payment (for the past 3 years)

* Please be sure to attach a Japanese translation to (1 “History of underwriting expense payment”, “Payment method”), (3) to (9).

B) When the expense supporter resides in Japan
  1. Expense support form (form prescribed by our school) (written by the expense supporter)
  2. Identity Guarantee (form prescribed by our school) (written by the expense supporter)
  3. Official documents certifying the relationship between the expense supporter and the applicant
  4. Certificate of deposit balance of expense supporter (original)
  5. A copy of the passbook and materials that clarify the circumstances that led to the formation of funds
  6. Certificate of employment of expense supporter (original) (in the case of company management or officers, a business permit or a copy of the corporate register, etc.)
  7. Resident’s card (for all households)
  8. Tax payment certificate, etc. (with income or income amount stated. For the past 3 years)
  9. Copy of residence card * Not required if the expense supporter is Japanese national
C) When the expense supporter is the person himself / herself
  1. Official documents that can confirm the identity of the applicant
  2. Certificate of deposit balance in the name of the applicant (original)
  3. Certificate of employment and annual income of the applicant

2.Selection fee

Selection fee 25,000 yen (27,500 yen including tax)

The selection fee must be paid at the time of document application.
The selection fee will not be returned regardless of pass or fail.
